Seasons

We love them. We hate them. The next one can never come fast enough.

At least there are always beautiful things to see with each one.

Sunrise in Manasquan

I live in the northeast U.S. and personally, I enjoy the change of seasons. Not only for photography reasons, but I grew up here and I enjoy the adventures that a 20˚ day during an 18" snowfall winter storm brings or especially what solitude an 85˚ day at the beach offers. (Nothing beats the beach, by the way lol) Heck, a couple of the first special talents that you learn is how to drive through 6" of snow in January and then into a continuous torrential downpour in July. I do love the colors of fall and the warmth of spring and its promise of summer when it finally arrives after the eight months of winter.

How cool would it be if the fall colors of the leaves were year-round? I suppose that is what photography is for ;)

Even so, as the seasons continually progress, there are going to be a lot of spectacular sights to observe. Make sure that you take those few moments to pause what you are doing and enjoy the views. (And, don't forget to take a few photos). Trust me...It'll be worth it. When you are ready to get back to the daily grind, come back here and browse the gallery. I'll have plenty for you to enjoy.

Fall is Soon Upon Us

Tell me not here, it needs not saying,

What tune the enchantress plays

In aftermaths of soft September

Or under blanching mays,

For she and I were long acquainted

And I knew all her ways.

– A. E. Housman, ‘Tell me not here, it needs not saying’. [Excerpt]
